Re: Space the final Frontier
Picard > Sisko
but you gotta admit; Kirk breaking Trelane's sword was awesome (and fans highly speculate that Trelane was a young member of the Q. Hell even Q was based on Trelane)

Re: Space the final Frontier
Oh! Bryan! Did you ever read Shatner's books?
I really enjoyed them! Kirk comes back from the dead due to a Borg/Romulan alliance, and the old original cast team up with TNG, and in the second trilogy the mirror universe is the focus, and you even get some Voyager characters! Such good reading!
Obviously none of it's cannon, but damn, Shatner can write! His work is called the Shatnerverse in the Star Trek world, and I know it's all Kirk grandstanding, but still good stuff!

I actually I know of that book you mentioned! I have it somewhere around my house! I tried reading about (oh shit) 12 years ago but my reading level wasn't as good as it is now and I also I hadn't yet got into TNG at the time so I had no clue who anyone was besides Picard.
Now-a-days I prefer listening to audio books since I like to multitask and considering the popularity of Shatner's Trek novels I'm sure The Return would be in audio book format.
I heard about his Mirror Universe novels as well. I'm very interested in those since the Mirror Universe is one of my favorite aspects of the series. A couple years ago I actually made my own series of custom missions on Star Trek Online that was about a war between the Prime Universe and the Mirror Universe (helped that the Mirror Universe were already enemies in the game)

Re: Space the final Frontier
Thanks Manga I'll look em up!
I might have a few of those already on my ipod. The only Star Trek books I actually physically read and finished was Federation which was written before First Contact came out. Its now completely off canon since Cochrane's era is totally different than how it was in the movie, but it was a good read. And I think Q-squared. (funny the audio book version I have of Q-squared has Q's actor reading it XD)

Re: Space the final Frontier
It was one where an alternate Trelane somehow obtains powers that surpasses the power of the other Qs and then tried causing complete chaos
Re: Space the final Frontier
I didn't even realize this till I found something about James Doohan's right middle finger being gone that its been 10 years since he died.
Go figure.
2005 James Doohan Dies
2015 Leonard Nimoy Dies.
So RIP Mr. Doohan
And Mr. Nimoy
