Not an anime costume, but this is the costume I usually wear for TDA (The Dark Alliance). We're a nonprofit organization that costumes as Star Wars characters (usually custom made) with an emphasis on the Dark Side of the Force. We generally do charity work and go to hosted conventions to spread the love of the Sith and crush any oppression with the power of the Force.

Now, the lightsaber in this image is incredibly washed out by the flash of the camera. Also, the lighting in the room was terrible....they decided to host the convention in the High School across from my college (originally it was to be hosted on the campus grounds). But, these things are pretty bright. Here's an image to show how bright they pop up on camera. In person, you can hardly look at the damn thing.

The Jedi and Sith clothing styles and even their cultures mimic Samurai and some Japanese culture. Also some elements of the empire mimicking that of Nazi Germany.

Indeed. Jedi and Sith culture are heavily inspired by Japanese, Feudal European, and WWII War Culture. There are also heavier themes based on philosophies such as Buddhism.

Thank you for the compliment, MonjaElisa. I've never heard of anybody refer to one of my Star Wars builds as cute, haha, but I appreciate it. I take pride in my costumes, and generally, "If George Lucas wouldn't approve", I wouldn't wear it.

I walked around with a sign saying have you seen my prince, my sister or my brothers. XD then I found the brothers. It was a very heartfelt reunion xD

I haven't cosplayed in a long while. I was thinking of cosplaying Lupin the Third (green coat) for next year's Anime Boston but I think I'm not gonna go anymore (too much money) so there goes all my future cosplay plans.

@nuuuh bryan be more optimistic... you never know if things have changed by next year... both financially and wotkwise you may want and be able to go there next year... believe it <3

Well I got one other reason to avoid Anime Boston next year. I'm assuming one person I've ticked off (I won't go into it just that I caught him lying to lots of people and I called him out on it) might want some revenge on me since I was hearing him say he was going to kill me. So yeah no. I know my friends would back me up and help me but yeah no. Its mostly due to money and that I'm out of date with the current anime.
