The Thinking Thread Empty The Thinking Thread

Think.

Who are the most important people in your life?
What would you do if they died?
What would you do if you could never see them again?
What would you do if you were the last living soul on Earth?

It probably makes you sad, right?
Well, that's normal.
Have you ever really thought about these things before?
You probably tried to avoid it, right?
Well, that's normal too.
But it doesn't make it any less meaningful.
"Only he who accepts death, can truly be alive".

This example may be a bit depressing for some... Moving on.

The reason I made this thread is for people to be introspective, and think deeply about things that matter to them, and reflect on them appropriately. Though the topic I chose to start with is dark, it doesn't have to be. When looked at in the right light, there is a positive to every negative, rationally speaking. That said, any introspection that can come about from this thread, whether positive or negative, is the point.

Different from the venting thread or the wisdom thread, this one can aim to produce results and changes in thinking, in an environment where people can be supportive and learn from one another. I may even consider posting some psychology materials as a basis for people's own understanding, at some point, if interest is there.

Feel free to post anything you really haven't thought about too deeply or find inspirational and to have deep meaning, and try and break it down into it's relative weights and facets.
Or, post something inspirational to be thought about and reflected on.

Have a poem, as well? Feel free to include it, so long as it has meaning, if only to you.

"If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

"What is the sound of one hand clapping?"

No matter the actual answers to the questions posted, they got you thinking, if only a little bit, didn't they? Well, that's the point. No matter how logical an answer you can give them...

Let's create a space for deep-rooted thinking to occur, introspection to arise, and results of change to be for the better. That is, if anyone else is game, for this.

“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” - C.G. Jung.
