I haven't see Maou. However, I've seen Korean version. Based on that...not even close. Johan is on whole new level. Haven't seen Maou so can't really compare.

well I did actually like naruse in maou... I bet its probably the same personality type in the korean aswell... if its in the middle of light and naruse Im not sure.... I did love naruse however.... <3
I may concider watching it because you make it sound pretty good ^^

Johan is nothing like Light. Johan is more humane...well death is all around him but there's something that makes him real.
No one would be afraid of Light because he can't be real. Whereas Johan...if you're unlucky you might meet someone like him  

I won't say anymore....I might give away few spoilers, so give it a try if you like slow psychological thrillers

Edit: If Korean version had same personality then Johan is way above Naruse too

No no I was talking about The Devil. Korean version of Maou.
And about Monster...there's manga & anime. I heard that HBO is going to make a series based on Monster.
Nah, nothing is similar in both characters except that they both are ruthless killer :p

Btw I finished Steins;Gate! It was awesome. Now I've habit of saying "Tuturu!" & I've also done "I'm mad engineer...." few times
