Its All Coming Back To Me

Cartoons, we all have watched them mostly some more so then others for the most part.
So as a person inclined to exhibit nostalgia do tell, what are some of your favorite cartoons preferably the older ones you watched when your younger.

I will start with one of mine. Courage The Cowardly Dog

One of my favorites growing up due to the nature of the show it was simplistic to be honest but always managed to add in random stuff here and there.

Plot Summary A dog named courage lives with his humans Eustice and Muriel in the middle of nowhere but creepy stuff starts to happen and its up to courage to save the day. I borrowed a few references here from other shows just saying,

The show uses common monsters and all kinds of other settings in it. There was one episode that dealt directly with The Nutcracker involving Muriel being kidnapped by rats.

One of my personal favorites though is the freaky fred one which is a clear reference to sweeny todd.

But now the balls in your court do tell me some of yours.

My favorite back in the day was Scooby-Doo Where Are You?

I think we all know that one: A group of 4 teens and a cowardly great dane named Scooby-Doo solve mysteries. The cases were always about some criminal dressed as a monster who was looking to scare people away so they could continue their crimes (usually theft or counterfiet)

My favorite episode was the one involving Space Kook

Scooby Doo Where are you was one of my favorites out of the Scooby doo series.

I loved the first movie they did Scooby doo on zombie island that one was pretty nice.

The cyberchase one was pretty cool as well.

I do have to admit, I had a soft spot for the first live action movie it was alright,

Favorite character in the show is shaggy though.

My thoughts on the new series weren't that pleasing though. Kinda tried to take away its old charm by replacing it with more action and romance related stuff which kinda felt odd for Scooby doo.

I agree it was odd but I enjoyed it personally. Hell there was a good amount of Trek refrences in Mystery Inc.

I actually enjoyed the first 2 live action movies too.
Zombie Island was awesome and so was the Witch's Ghost (I guess I'm partial to Witch's Ghost since it takes place in my neck of the woods

Yah there were quite a few references it liked to place them in here and there especially with sometimes doing crossovers with other cartoons.

The Witches Ghost was pretty good as well.

Did you ever play any of their videogames they were actually alright at least some of the older ones?

I played 2 or 3.
I played Classic Creep Capers, and the GBA games based on the live actions.

Creep Capers is a favorite of mine and I still occasionally play it to this day.
the one based on the first game was hard at times and it had a very different plot despite still dealing with the same characters and such.
the one based on the second absolutely sucked.

My favorite movie was Boo Brothers.

A great show

I used to like this one show called "Freaky Stories", where they'd show cartoons of Urban Legends. That was pretty great

...more adult-themed than I remember, sometimes, though... :l

There were so many cartoons. Two that I can name off the top of my head are "Mummies Alive!" and "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers".

*main character kid walking by*

Bes: "Hun-GOOOO-HOO-HOO-hoo...!"
Kid:  "...Bes..?"


...also, I've got the Rescue Rangers theme stuck in my head :l

It's good to know that at least I wasn't the only kid watching Mummies Alive! It's probably the show that made me interested in ancient history, although it's probably not the most accurate depiction of ancient Egyptians. Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers probably has the best theme song of any cartoon in my opinion.
