BMI - Body Mass Index
What is your curent BMI(Body Mass Index) ?
Do you satisfied with your current BMI?
Metric BMI Formula BMI = Mass (Kilograms) ÷ (Height (Meters))2 Imperial BMI Formula BMI = Mass (Pounds) ÷ (Height (Inches))2 × 703* * The value '703' is more accurately '703.06957964' but higher precision is negligible when calculating BMI. |
Normal weight: 18.5 - 24.9
Overweight: 25 - 29.9
Obese: ≥ 30

Re: BMI - Body Mass Index
It is important to know where your BMI falls within the category. The body mass index, or BMI, is a calculation used to determine your level of body fat. It can help a doctor determine your overall fitness and your risk of developing chronic diseases. Still, BMI is not the only factor your doctor considers, and it isn’t a completely reliable assessment for every body type.
A body mass index in the low range signals that you could be malnourished. Maybe your body isn’t properly absorbing nutrients or maybe you’re just not getting enough calories to support your activity level. Conversely, having a BMI on the higher end alerts your physician that your risks of heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers are higher than someone with a normal BMI. Your doctor might set you up with a registered dietitian, who can help you get your weight back on track and reduce your risk of developing health problems.

I used to use the BMI scale, but I don't think that's going to really determine my health. I know I'm healthy because I'm in sports and I often eat the right portions of food so... yeah. I may weight too much for my height imo but I'm just done caring way too much...

this is not a random question from me
YES IT IS! There's absolutely no way you'd be able to write all that! You're copying it from somewhere else !

Re: BMI - Body Mass Index
Being 222 lbs (most recently, fluctuates between 219 and 226) and 5 feet, my BMI is 43 and is considered way way obese.
I get disappointed in myself for letting myself get to this weight. But I still try my best to eat better (doesn't mean I always do) and be more active (which is hard to do and I don't always do it either) but if I don't, I'll just get bigger and bigger. At least I can say I have been in the same range for about 3 years so at least I am not going past 230 anymore!
I haven't always been big. If fact, I was underweight as a kid of my age but pretty average for my height. It wasn't until I was diagnosed with depression that I began to gain weight. It didn't help the antidepressants made me gain even more weight. Which made me more depressed. It was a bad cycle.

Re: BMI - Body Mass Index
I was gonna avoid this one due to my BMI, but Rina swallowed the fear of judgement so shall I
I'm 5' 8"-ish and currently fluctuating between 215 to 225 (usually sitting at 220) so I have a BMI of like; 33~ so I'm stage 1 obese according to one site.
I've tested myself a few times for diabetes and the like and my blood pressure and sugar are always in the norm. I even donated blood a few weeks ago and there was no problems with them taking it so I'm not carrying anything bad.

Re: BMI - Body Mass Index
I don't use BMI either, but I used to be in the 30s. Not anywhere near there anymore. Now down to a much healthier weight and I feel and look great.

I'm so jealous!!!!! Everyone tells me I have a nice body and a nice shape, but none of their comments/compliments matter if I don't feel like I have a top tier body...

Actually I don't really know what puberity was like. The most I got out of it was lots of pimples and some hair growing in places. I was pretty much oblivious to it all XD
Re: BMI - Body Mass Index
I think mine is 21.2
I'm not sure

My BMI is apparently 21.1. Why the sudden interest in BMI Hyera? Probably invading aliens that choose their victims based on BMI

just want to know how much people concern about their own physical change :3
Re: BMI - Body Mass Index
As you can see ,Hyera, people are generally very concerned with their physical selves. The body is the vessel of the soul so the concern is natural.
