Playstation DEMOLISHED everyone.

FF7 Remake
Last Guardian
Shenmue 3!

Also interested in Horizon, Mirror's Edge of course, Nier 2, and the World of FF.

What did you think of Nintendo's presentation? It felt so darn disappointing.

I'm of course gonna get Fire Emblem, and SMTxFE, but apart from that nothing they showed got me hyped since there was nothing knew...

Well now I want not just a Wii U but a PS4 while I'm at it. I didn't see the E3 presentation except for a couple games. Most notably Fallout 4, Doom 4, and Starfox Zero

I do know of the new Zelda game for 3DS but I haven't looked into it. I'm not exactly thrilled since I'm not a big handheld gaming person.

I am psyched for the new Starfox game. I'm a Starfox fan and its been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long since the last new Starfox game (Starfox Command for the DS which was a launch title)

I'm even more psyched about Fallout 4 being in Boston (I live in that area)

And for me the REAL star of the show. Doom!
I'm an old Doom fan. I've been waiting on a new Doom game since Doom 3 ROE was released. I even bought RAGE and Doom 3 BFG edition since I'm such a big fan. I originally got RAGE because at the time Doom was going to be released with the same engine (ID tech 5) as Rage. I ended up loving Rage anyway. I got Doom 3 BFG for the extra campain which was not really wasted since it makes an awesome collection.
This new one looks friggin amazing! This and Fallout 4 have got me sold on getting either the Xbox One or PS4. I'm going PS4 since I had such a horrible experience with the 360 for far too long. I saw the Minecraft showing and I'm really interested but my experience with Microsoft consoles: no. I know you're gonna fuck it up again Microsoft. Just no. I can't afford your bullshit.

Not gonna lie, I'm fairly stoked for Starfox Zero, The Last Guardian, TriForce Heroes, and Uncharted, but... not much else wow'd me, really.

Some cool stuff, but, aside from the HoloLens and Valve's VR (which I don't count, because they were announced long before E3), nothing really too groundbreaking, for me.

Star Wars Battlefront looked great. Fallout 4 looked awesome, of course. Rainbow Six Siege looked intriguing too. I've always preferred the tactical and more cerebral action of the Rainbow Six games. What I saw of Halo 5: Guardians also looked great. The teaser for Mass Effect 4 wet my appetite for that game. The teaser for Keiji Inafune's new game, Recore, looked interesting.

One of the biggest shocks was probably Microsoft announcing backwards compatibility for the Xbox One. I hoped to see something of Persona 5 but didn't see anything ;0

Fallout 4 looks like it'll be awesome, for sure, but I'm not really excited for it.

I played through New Vegas and loved it, but, I really taxed it out with only the one play-through, for me,  and Fallout 4, as impressive as it is seeming to be thus far, just isn't getting me excited, really. My one friend? Well, he's going crazy over it~

As for the Xbox backwards compatibility... it really should have already been a thing.
And the fact that having the disc allows you to DL the game...? That's just odd. Why not, well, just read the disk? -.- Seems like an almost familiar afterthought to me..

*cough* DRM *cough*...

Fallout 3 took me a while to complete and there was so much to explore and nuggets that were hidden away. Fallout 4 looks really great with all the features added on top of that. I am really excited for it. There are a lot of people excited for the game.

As for the backwards compatibility, I agree with you that it should have been included form the start. It's a big deal though seeing as the PS4 is yet to have backwards compatibility. DRM is an ever present facet of modern gaming though. One can argue that Steam is in essence a DRM platform too.

I'm someone who (maybe this is becoming more rare, these days) prefers having a physical copy of a game that I really like. That said, I do own a gigantic assortment (hundreds) of games on Steam, myself, and find it convenient in a lot of ways. For console gaming, well... I just feel it should stick to having discs, with the exception of some content being digital, specifically for gamers who like to lend/borrow/buy used, or even swap games with friends to try/play for a while. PC gaming a little more personal, as it's dependent on the gamer's rig what sort of game they can play/handle playing. For consoles, well, they're basically identical, and the only differences that exist are usually minor ones, such as added/expanded HDD, or what colour cables they use. If I buy a game on Steam, that game is MINE, and I can't share with someone unless I share my account with them, or even my computer. If I buy an Xbox 360/PS3 game, I can share it with anyone/lend it to anyone who owns the system as well, and should have the right to do so, as I bought it (I'm not redistributing it, as it's not being copied, so legal issues shouldn't arise).

With DRM games, you're stuck.

I think gamers should have the option of choice, and flexibility, and not be so pinned down as companies are gravitating towards. Not every company can/should be like Valve is, with Steam, especially pertaining to consoles. The idea that you have to put the physical game disc into the system, only so you have to wait for a download to occur before you can play it, assuming you have awesome wi-fi? That's just, well, inconsiderate to the consumer. If Little Timmy buys his Gears of War and wants to go play it, he shouldn't have to wait hours for it to DL before he can. He has it. He owns it. Let him play it.

Now, things like Steam, well, like I said, that's different.
You're on a PC, and need the internet to use it/buy games/play certain games. You go in with this in mind, as it's only an application on a much larger, physical machine, that accepts physical discs. A console does digital as well, but.. that large slit/tray on the front? Yeah... that's for discs to go in :l

But.. that's just my opinion xD

I was quite pleased with it lots of reveals and updates on games already announced before,

But to start bethesdas announcement was quite nice Doom along with my most anticipated game to be revealed fallout 4 and its hype bringing mechanics got me very excited,

Along with the collectors edition which I pre ordered fast due to the knowledge that I knew it would sell out.

Dishonored 2 was a nice reveal as well,

The final fantasy 7 remake reveal caught a lot of attention as well very excited for that and the new gameplay that was shown for kh3,

The new starfox I am very excited about cant wait for that.

Then of course there was more news on no mans sky which has been in my want for awhile, after seeing it originally announced and just how much potential it has.

The new xenoblade got some more attention slightly,
along with quite a few others that were already mentioned before e3.

Metal gear solid 5 even,

As well as deus ex mankind divided,

Among quite a few new titles as well,
Lastly but not least some more information was revealed on ratchet and clank earlier in which was very nice in its gameplay.

Another demo from hololens was exciting as well, the only thing I hope they fix with that is the field of vision before its released since its not as open as the first demo which kinda takes away from the potential.

The only real let down for me from e3 was Nintendo due to not having much to show this year which caused quite the disappointment for a lot of fans out there but to me I kinda expected it with Zelda being delayed already.

There's speculation that they're purposely withholding the next major Zelda release until their next console releases... I'd put money on that :l It makes sense.

Wow, is Nintendo launching another console already? The people that bought a Wii U will feel short changed, I guess. If the Wii U is already replaced then it's probably one of the shortest console lifespans. The new Ned for Speed does look great too.

In reference to the digital versus physical copies- it's a real pain to download a game here in South Africa. To download something the size of Battlefield 4 for example takes approximately 3 days with a decent internet connection. As a result I can understand the argument for physical copies but digital is just the direction the wind is blowing at the moment. Companies probably see digital as a win-win: no shipping costs, no retailer/middle man, no disk deterioration.

You're also forgetting another "plus" to digital only. No sharing. Sharing digital games is extremly difficult. Not to mention hard to bypass in the whole piracy thing too.

With physical copies you can lend it off to a friend for nothing. That friend can play the whole game for free for however the friends want with no cost. And for selling a physical copy people can sell that $60 dollar game for $5 meaning the potential buyer is getting that $60 game for only a small fraction of the price.

With digital that whole "sharing" and "selling used" issues are totally removed. Those things are making the company who made the the game lose money. Which of course we can't have any of that now can we?
Digital copies are non-refundable so you can't get your money back, non sharable so no free or lowered cost handing it off to someone else who could just buy the game for full price. And better yet that money is being insured to go through to the people who "deserve" the money (aka; companies) instead of someone who bought the game and didn't want it.

The pluses to digital are great. If the game is linked to an account (Xbox and Playstation or Steam) then you need not worry about losing the game or it getting damaged or even stolen. Also it can be a lot more convienent as well. Instead of having to fish through discs or cartridges to put it into the system (which also involves taking whatever it was in the system already like another game or DVD or whatever out)
Also removes the problem with some disc drives in systems breaking down and the consumer needing to either open up the system or report it to the manufactuer to get it fixed/replaced which of course makes the company lose money.

I do like digital as an OPTION due to the pluses of convienence and insurance I don't lose my game (looking at you DS and 3DS. I've lost so many physical copies of Pokemon...) but I wish they would do something like if you bought the game (Let's say Ocarina of Time 3D) then inside the case is a download code to get a free digital copy of your game so even though you may of lost the game you can still play it and enjoy it. (however that removes the need for the buyer to go out and pay MORE money on another copy)

Physical copies + digital DL version is a great thing.
Some games I've bought in the past have done this, and it's not only convenient, but it gives you the best of both worlds.

As for the fact that lending/sharing physical copies leads to reduced sales in the long run... well, that depends. Of course, if I lend a physical copy to my friend, he'll love playing it, and want to keep doing so, but if I want it back, he's lost it. That sort of situation might make someone actually go out and purchase the physical copy. As for buying used, well, that copy has already sold, and then sells a second time at a reduced rate. The company doesn't really lose anything, as the person who can't afford the brand new copy has a copy that was already purchased, that the original owner didn't want. Kind of like buying used goods/items. The argument could be made that if you can't afford to buy a new car, buying used means the car manufacturer loses profit. It's kind of a non-issue, IMO, as although it's true it's easier/cheaper to sell/lend to someone else, it's the nature of the beast that if you buy it, you can do what you want with it (or at least, should be able to do, to a certain extent). If I wanted to go out and buy a brand new PS4 and then give it to a random stranger once I leave the store, well, I'd be stupid to do so, but, realistically, they didn't "lose a sale", they gained a "potential sale" that may have otherwise not have come about, had they not been exposed to or given the chance to try said game (e.g.: I lend a copy of Dark Souls to a friend, he loves it, plays it, thinks its great, and goes out and buys Dark Souls II. He may never have done so, had he not borrowed my copy of the first one; you never know~)

I also love having a physical copy of a game. Just pointing out that the companies don't see it that way. Digital distribution has it's positives though. It has made it possible for certain developers to sell games that would probably have not been made if not for digital distribution. Indie games and indie developers owe much of their success to digital distribution of course. Digital distribution made it possible for these lesser known games to wind up in the hands of consumers.
