I love anime because...

I'm curious :3

Cute, funny, hilarious, crazy, stupid, genius, fiction world, silly, kill my boredom, cool hyung, sexy nuna, super****(whatever), fashionable, and more.

I love anime because it just helps cheer me up and it just makes me happy....yep >.>

The story is usually better than what's on now-a-days in the west. I rarely go to watch an anime just for action or comedy (even though I do like them in my anime)
Anime is generally more mature than most american cartoons as well. They aren't afraid to show something like blood or death. The Artstyle usually remains the same between animes where in American Cartoons its always changing so its more consistent.

Even when I go for the humor its not something completely stupid. (Family Guy... uggg so dumb)

I love anime because it was there for me when other people weren't. The complex stories, the moral lessons and the sheer willpower displayed in them inspired me to be a better person. On top of that, I adored the animation style and quality.

And the feel trips. Oh god the feel trips...

That, and they take me out of my real world, for a little, and focus me in on another one. I like that

I love anime because...

I enjoy a great story from time to time
I like seeing different Art Styles
I like a good laugh
I enjoy seeing great Fight Scenes

I love anime because it tries unique and different approaches that is rarely seen in other media. For example I don't think "Watamote" or "Welcome to the NHK" would have been made into a tv show if it was pitched to a western tv station.

I agree. I don't see a whole lot of shows like them over here either. Only one I know about is "Big Bang Theory" and I just refuse to watch it. Mostly due to hype.

Big Bang Theory's first couple of seasons were alright but after that it went downhill. Try shoehorning romantic elements into a show like that is difficult while trying to emphasize how socially awkward they are.

A lot of shows in the west draw inspiration from anime too. Firefly for example drew heavily on Cowboy Bebop for inspiration. Avatar: The Last Airbender likewise was inspired by anime.
