Yourself: Best and Worst traits? Empty Yourself: Best and Worst traits?

Post by Takumi of the Wind Mon Apr 27, 2015 12:02 pm

Just a thread to discuss yourself as a person, how you feel about yourself, etc.

I figured this could be fun, especially in a community that is already heavily support based on a common interest.

----

My Best Traits:
Extremely Loyal
High sense of Justice
Morally inclined
Honest
Strong for my size
Critical Thinker
Quick Learner
Devoted Lover (if in a romance)
Patient
Adventurous
Hard working when tasked

My Worst Traits:
Blatant and Blunt
Fatigued
Easily bored
Low self esteem
Often misunderstood
Procrastinator
Prioritizes personal satisfaction over hard work
Perpetually lonesome

Overall Self Assessment:

Honestly, I'm not too fond of myself as a person. But we all have problems. I find myself easily stressed and anxious about my quality of life and who I am. But overall, I would consider myself a pretty decent person. There are two sides to every coin, and I've had just as many people tell me that I'm an awful person as much as I've had them tell me that I'm an awesome person. It all really depends on how you get to know me and what effort that I and the other party take on getting to know each other.

I'm generally a very loyal, honest person. Known for speaking my mind and working hard at the goals I have in life. I enjoy friends, though my biggest flaw is that I constantly feel alone and isolated from the people I am around. But that's a personal problem, haha. With a high sense of morality and justice, I value human rights and civility, but I can become harsh when I view other's opinions as outdated or outmoded (I am far from conservatism). My other biggest flaw is that I'm generally fatigued; I've had a busy early life and I worked hard to achieve nothing because of inconveniences that popped up, and now I just want to enjoy my life. I am also extremely protective of people, and will go out of my way to call others out when they prejudice or antagonize my closest friends.

Yourself: Best and Worst traits? Empty Re: Yourself: Best and Worst traits?

The Best:
Kind
Generous
Helpful
Understanding
Passionate
Patient
Honest
Modest
Funny (Or so they say)
Sexy (Or so I say)

The Worst:
Lazy
SUPER Lazy
No stamina due to Asthma
Long Periods of Self Loathing
Gets Attached Too Easily
Harsh and Blunt

Let's see... I know I'm not the best me I could be, but I'm actually quite content with myself. Once I get past my pro-level procrastination skills, you get a quite straight forward guy.
I love to help others. Being helpful is one of the best feelings ever. I take every relationship seriously, so I'm not ashamed to say that I love all my friends. On the flip side however, this does mean that I get hurt easily, and when it strikes, it strikes hard and won't be able to focus on anything seriously for a while.
I also like to think that I'm quite level headed, always trying to see each situation from every angle.
Last, I suppose I'm a decent writer, I have a good imagination and I learn things quite fast, considering it took me only 4 weeks to learn both English and Spanish...

Good Traits:
Loyal
Honest
Caring
Rational/Critical Thinker
Morally Inclined/Seeks Justice
Understanding
Patient
Reasonable
Confident (at times)
Funny
Creative

Bad Traits
Easy to anger/rage
Interests change on a whim
Lazy
procrastinator
Too blunt
can hold grudges till the end of time
Trollish tendencies (however requires pushing)
cold hearted at times
low-self esteem on bad days
worries too damn much
Forgetful
can loose track of time on the long term

Overall I know I'm not the best me either. I know I can be a hypocrite - either intentionally or unintentionally. I know I have LOTS of rage from years of bottling it up so now I have a short fuse. I can be quick to judge too.
I have LOTS of faults and a lot of them I simply can't change; either because I don't want to or whatever.
Any chips I have on my shoulders; some I know I could get over if I saw a shrink or something but due my distrust of them (long story) I refuse so I choose instead to quote Kirk with that

I have my goods too. Many of which people see that others refuse to. At the end of the day you either like me or you don't. Deal with it.

Yourself: Best and Worst traits? Empty Re: Yourself: Best and Worst traits?

Post by Guest Sat Jun 20, 2015 2:04 pm

Before I issue my traits in a positive and negative setting I would like to say that regardless if the trait is classified as positive or negative both can be one of the two or both,

Especially from another persons point of view but moving on,

Positive Traits
Critical Thinking
Neutral
Knowledge Seeker
Great at multitasking
High Memory
Considerate
High Perception/
Learns Fast
Inquisitive
Honest as much as the cognitive thought allows
Negative Traits
Lazy
Physically weak
Tendency to Ramble
Overthinking and analyzing situations
Socially Awkward
Neutral
Bored easily

Now my own observation of myself.

When I look at myself I see a person who is primarily dedicated to logical pursuits yet is able to understand personal issues, I am grounded in my logic however and due to my neutrality when big choices are required I don't pick sides fast.

I am socially awkward due to my viewpoints on being awkward and my mediocre social skills,

I am harsh on myself when it comes to social issues, yet understand other people with theirs however have difficulty expressing my own,

What I need to improve on
Being personal and putting out that side of me more,
Overall though
A claimed prodigy by others grounded by no interest in being a prodigy

Best Traits:
Understanding
Honest
Polite
Friendly
Hard worker (when motivated)
Helpful
Smart

Worst Traits:
Procrastinator
Hard to get motivated
Lazy (most of the time)
Shy / Socially awkward from autism

I like to think I'm typically a nice and easygoing guy, at least when I'm around someone/ people I know, and a large percentage of my peers seem to agree with that.
