Multimedia Franchises

In this thread we can discuss multimedia franchises like Love Live!, Super Sonico or Hatsune Miku. Like the name implies these are franchises that appear concurrently in different forms of media like video games, music and anime.

Love them! I buy and collect zelda and death note merchandise based on whats in the game/anime... aswell as cosplay and whats adapted based on it~ ♡

That's cool. It shows that franchises (like Zelda and Death Note) that were at first only intended for one medium evolved to become massive multimedia franchises. The passion of the fans stimulated the growth of the franchise into different mediums. The new generation of franchises like Love Live! and Super Sonico are multimedia almost from the start as they branch out to increase their reach.

Besides anime and games, I'm also quite an avid soundtrack collector.

One HUGE reason for my going to Japan this year was because I couldn't find a decently priced copy of the Tactics Ogre Soundtrack.

SO! DAMN! WORTH IT!

Tactics Ogre is a game I haven't had the pleasure of playing. I hear it's very good. Square Enix bought the developer of that game, I think.

Since this thread isn't exactly focusing on anime or manga I'm moving it to "Other Fandoms"

Oh it's a great game. Good story and music. If you enjoy tactical rpgs, you should definitely give it a shot.

Thanks for the recommendation. I hear it's quite difficult to find a copy of Tactics Ogre. Maybe they could do a remake or remaster and put it on Steam and the new consoles. Come on Square Enix
