Did a little research. Clarisse from the 1979 anime film "Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro" is apparently considered to be the first.

huh, interesting.
Amazing how modern anime sterotypes weren't even a thing yet. She did not act like a modern loli and I didn't even think she was.

Good movie. One of my favorites. Interesting tip-bit; the second dub of the movie has David Hayter (well known as the voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss from the Metal Gear Solid series) as the voice of Lupin

Yeah, the archetypes weren't so rigid back then. The modern loli is younger than the character Clarisse too. The loli concept evolved from the character though.

I haven't watched anything from the Lupin franchise yet. Probably a bit intimidated by how extensive and old it is. That is really interesting. Snake/Lupin Very Happy
It's a shame that they replaced David Hayter with Kiefer Sutherland in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Well yeah, the silent unemotional characters stemmed from what's-her-face from Evagelion.

I haven't watched ALL of Lupin the Third but I have seen the older anime versions as well as a couple of the movies - specifically the Castle of Caglistro (which is the first movie directed by Miyazaki!) and the first Lupin VS Conan special. I really reccomend the series. You don't need to worry about starting from the begginning since there is no over-arcing plot so you can just go with the movies or the tv shows.

As for MGS the VA change on Snake was started in Ground Zeroes which is basically part 1 to Phantom Pain. I still can't stand that voice and I didn't like the controls/gameplay mechanics on Ground Zeroes so I gave it to a friend and have no intention of buying Phantom Pain. Technically the only other time they changed Snake's voice was in MGS4 with Big Boss. But they had Hayter as Solid Snake so the voice change on Big Boss/Naked Snake made sense and actually fit pretty well.

Anyway now we're just getting off topic. Proceed with your lolis.

Yeah- Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion was probably the Dandere prototype. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm still going back to some of the older anime that I may have missed. I haven't watched Ghost in the Shell either.
