Your backlog of anime?
In this topic you can post the anime that you plan to watch later. The anime that you will eventually get around to watching. Your "to-watch" anime.
Some of mine currently are:
Heaven's Memo Pad
Angel Beats
Rainbow
Death Parade
The Vision of Escaflowne
Yona of the Dawn
Clannad
Hyouka
I'll stop there

Baccano! and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are definitely worth a watch. I would know, I've watched them

Here here! The dubs are solid and awesome too!SadJester wrote:Baccano! and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are definitely worth a watch. I would know, I've watched them
Soul Eater isn't bad either but its not one I'd watch again. (no particular reason; its just a one and done anime for me)
Currently on my back log list is well a lot.
Log Horizon Season 2 (been rewatching season 1 off and on)
School Days (Yes I want to watch this. I already have a good idea of what happens and I have seen the ending thanks to friends. And frankly I just want to watch this for the laughs of knowing a dumbass man whore will die in the end. It sounds hilarious to me!)
Future Diary (This is on my back log only to see what the hell is with the popularity)
No Game, No Life (Same reason. I've heard various hub-bub about it and wish to check it out)
Angel Beats (Heard it was good and would make me cry. My question is; will it make me cry more than Anohana?
Air (Same as Angel Beats)
Sound of the Sky (I watched the first 2 episodes and it looks good but I just wasn't in the mood to watch more.)
Usagi Drop (The plot sounds interesting to me.)
Lupin the Third (I've already seen a good amount of Lupin already but there is still more I wish to watch. Mostly the movies.
Yu Yu Hakusho (I've watched all of season 1 a few times now but I keep losing interest in the second season. I WILL finish it one of these days)
Lost Universe (I'm a big Slayers fan but I still haven't watched this spin off)
Ganbare Goemon (Based on the Mystical Ninja video game series. I am interested since Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is one of my all time favorite N64 games. Also I heard Goemon is voiced by Vic. I'm sold. Just need to watch it)
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (I grew up watching some of this on TV and loved it but I never saw all of it)
Cyborg 009 (2003) (We all need our classics)
Astro Boy (2003) (Same reason)
Some more obvious entries.
The new Season to the Harhuhi Suzumiya series. (I'm a fan. Duh.)
Dragon Ball Super (DUH!)
Any Miyazaki movies I've missed (SUPER DUH!)
Cartoons on my back log:
Ed Edd n Eddy (Seasons 3 to last) (big fan of it back in the day)
Megas XLR (I saw some as a kid and was interested)
Samurai Jack (BIG FAN as a kid but theres a good amount I missed. I know it was never finsihed)
Time Squad (Same as Megas)
13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo*
A Pup Named Scooby Doo*
Classic Looney Tunes (namely Roadrunner cartoons)
Star Trek the Animated Series (I doubt I ever will, seen some and hated it. but I will watch to say I've seen it in full as a true Trekkie)
Star Wars the Clone Wars (I hated this arc in Star Wars but even I don't mind some more Star Wars action)
Sam and Max cartoon*
Back to the Future cartoon*
Inspector Gadget (I'm a fan of Don Adam's work)
Ghostbusters cartoon*
Flintstones (Saw a lot as a kid but never enough)
* - I am a fan of the series in other shape or form. For Scooby its most likely since I missed episodes as a kid
Regular TV shows on my back log
Get Smart (seen the first 2 seasons and I LOVE IT)
Young Indiana Jones
Sherlock (Seen first 2 seasons)
Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett actor) (Seen most of this one but there's a lot I haven't watched yet)
Star Trek Deep Space 9 (Yes a Trek show I didn't watch. I mostly avoided this one since I didn't like the premise that they never went anywhere unlike the other Trek shows. But I will watch it for the sake of being a Trekkie)
Re: Your backlog of anime?
I actually watched the new Cyborg 009 and Astro Boy series when it originally aired in my country. I enjoyed both of them and they were great introductions for me into the two franchises. I was younger then so it may have been my naivety that made them look better than they were
Wait...they made a Young Indiana Jones tv series? I know it doesn't really matter but the show actually has a respectable 7.3/10 on IMDB

Yeah they did. I didn't know either till I walked into a music/video store and saw some collection for it. I picked up an episode on VHS months ago at salvation army have yet to watch it. I DO have it on my HDD but didn't watch it yet.
Re: Your backlog of anime?
Cool, then you're probably going to watch it if you have the time

Re: Your backlog of anime?
tbh I'm more likely to watch Get Smart next since I'm in this wacky mood. Sam and Max (Telltale games) to Get Smart. Its a reasonable jump.
Re: Your backlog of anime?
Oh, I watched the Sam & Max animated series when I was a kid. It was very funny. "The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police" it was called.

Re: Your backlog of anime?
I might look it up after I finish Season 3. I'm on Episode 4 now. I was thinking of giving the Strong Bad games another shot since I haven't played em in years.

That is impressive Monja. I don't think I've watched nearly as much as that. That's probably because I watch anime quite slowly-no more than two at a time for me.

Aww.. ty.. that's sweet of you.. but in overall Its just me not having a life xDSadJester wrote:That is impressive Monja. I don't think I've watched nearly as much as that. That's probably because I watch anime quite slowly-no more than two at a time for me.
being an extreme introvert anime takes up alot of my time.. and I try to watch nearly everything currently airing because its sad to miss out on a couple of good shows.. when you watch them one episode at a time waiting for others to air.. that gives you alot of time to check out the other currently airing shows.. and there goes that cycle... Tho I only recently.. maybe a year ago started doing this.. I also have planned and completed anime on my list going back to 1980 lol

Re: Your backlog of anime?
I don't have any problem with watching old anime either. I've watched Speed Racer (originally from 1967) and Heidi Girl of the Alps (originally from 1974). I wait until the whole season of an anime is released and then look at criticisms and reviews of the anime. I then decide if I want to watch it or not. I'm kinda picky with what I watch. I don't think it's such a good quality

Same here. I haven't seen a whole lot of Speed Racer but what I did see just sucked. I respect the series on originality. I like the ideas with the Mach 5 and the character but the show itself... that animation is just too horrible. Reminds me of the Star Trek Animated Series.
Oldest Ive watched for anime is Lupin The Third. The first show adaption as well as the second that was dubbed. I've read some of the Black Jack manga as well.
Re: Your backlog of anime?
As a kid I watched pretty much any animated show that was aired. At first I was bothered by the quality of Speed Racers' animation but after a while I got used to it. It's actually a really funny show.
Tatsunoko Productions was the animation studio that made Speed Racer. Production I.G. was a break-off studio from Tatsunoko Productions. An interesting fact
