The Smoking Remains of MO
I know some of us are still gonna hang around on MO (for those who can) but I swear; ever since Key, boundbyluck and oreo were banned its become more quiet over there.
Re: The Smoking Remains of MO
No wonder. I'm positive Lucky and I were the ones who hang out the most over there.
I can totally say that I have logged in everyday since the day I created my account, but I guess that's over now.

Guys... Not to be evil, but MO is really dead right now. It's quite funny.

*shrugs* why would anyone be upset if you called it dead?
it is a little quiet to be honest

Key, do you SEE this grin?
Re: The Smoking Remains of MO
I can't lie, it's really funny to see how much more activity we've had in a day than them MO in an entire week.

While this may be true, I am kinda surprised that this is in the serious discussion forum, just saying it might be better in random chatter.
Although I do share your viewpoints on MO to a extent,
One of the main issues was that it relies on a few certain people to proactively out their day respond to forums and whatnot then you get less interested people replying , wasn't really the best method of ensuring a consistent forum activity wise,
Most of the people on there from what I know, usually just stick to profiles or wait for responses on peoples pages rather then browse the forums. Different needs and whatnot,
Drama seemed to jumpstart the forum being active as well never a good sign usually, although a common one for most parts.
As such
I am glad to see this site was formed though in response to it since it will provide a secondary place for forum chatting, and all your other needs,

I doubt I'll stay there long. I got lost in the hopeless endeavor for human interaction and a chance at romance, haha. After seeing the kinds of people showing up on what was made out to be a resource for people with common interests (many of them are extremely shallow), I'll probably fade out from existence there soon.

Good point. I'll move this over once I finish writing my reply.
Yeah most of the nicer people usually stuck to the profile section or to PMs. Or over to Skype. But the drama from the forums or skype or even PMs would usually drag over to the profile pages. I think that's the problem now. If the drama completely transfers over to the profile pages the site might as well shut down imo.

Not being mean; but unless you get real damn active (which DOES involve making enemies) you WILL fade out and be forgotten on the site
Re: The Smoking Remains of MO
I would rather fade then be caught in more drama and trolls

Oh I'd figure as such. And it's funny too, because somebody, I believe, already was trying to start drama with me. After receiving a friend request there, I got a pretty belligerent PM inquiring my opinion of people who follow a religion because I'm Atheist.
"Since you're an atheist what do you think of people who believe in God?"
It came off as kind of rude to me, haha, implying that because I'm an athiest, I'd have some sort of negative opinion about people who choose to follow a religious belief. I mean, come on bro.
Re: The Smoking Remains of MO
Not really surprised. As Colress said; the place is now living off the drama. I think people have forgotten the true purpose of the site. Meet people like yourself who are otakus, become friends and with any luck fall in love.
Maybe the drama and fights are all the people there know how to do now...?
