*lurking*

I always hate colouring my work... I feel like I'll screw it up :l Unless it's painting something, like a sculpture, because I can literally make the colour that feels right for the job.

I'm interested to see what other people prefer.

As a graphic designer, I'm always drawn towards deeper colors, particularly blues. I had to really strive hard to not rely on them too much so my work wouldn't stagnant.

I'm also very fond of colors that pop.

But since that doesn't really help describe what colors I'm fond of, I'll describe which ones I'm not fond of at all.

Yellows, certain Oranges, and Browns.

I've seen it done, and it's horrid, imo.

I don't mind certain hues of them, but they tend to be hard to work with. Particularly when you start making the value deeper; you end up getting weird, nasty shades of yellows, oranges, and browns. I generally only work with Browns if they are pastel hues, bright oranges, and golden yellows. Otherwise, I'll do everything I can to avoid them.

It's like my college colors. A lovely vibrant purple, and a baby-barf yellow. I had to work on a project in one of my early Graphic Design classes using the college colors. Hated every minute of it because I had to use yellow in it.

I love the way a nice golden yellow looks, or a deep, earthy brown. Purples are great, I find, when they pop, or are an anchor in the piece (like a deep base colour). I don't mind purple and like, a golden yellow sometimes, for that "fancy" look, but, I'm not big on most of what I see around where I live...

No offense to people who might enjoy this, but...
I don't like this design's colour scheme. Personal preference :l

Just an idea of kind of what I'm getting at.

I love gold things (gold in general; not just the colour). Personally, I wouldn't use these colours together like this, out of personal preference. Not to say the colours aren't great colours, just that I really don't like them together, personally :l

After going to school, I've found I really like contrast and using complimentary colors. Blue and orange together would probably be my favorite, since I'd say blue is my favorite color.

Personally I like black and white because they just go together like magnets.
If I need some extra flair I'll generally add a dark color on top, mainly dark blue or crimson red.

Blue is definitely a nice relaxing color. The dark reds look cool with black too I've found. (Hence the 0^2 color scheme to my left)

Agreed :l

...After you mentioned it, I noticed that my room has a ton of blue! I never noticed xD
My room is primarily themed (sort of) with a mix of wooden furniture (browns) and deep blues, as well as whites and the odd bit of red and black here and there. How did I do that without even trying...? O.o
