Ghost Stories (Personal Verion) Empty Ghost Stories (Personal Verion)

I saw Saint's thread about creepy-pastas and I remembered mentioning this in another thread.

So ghost stories. Got any? Now I'm not talking made-up stuff. I'm talking personal experience. Have you had an encounter with the supernatural? I have. Same with my closest irl friends. We believe.

So where should I start? hmm
I'll give you ONE of mine for now. Note that all my stories mostly take place at a friend's grandparents' house that we occasionally go to for weekends or weeks when she gets to house-sit. Me and some of my friends believe the area to be high in activity. At least the house because we have sensed multiple spirits in just about every room of the house.

Now one night when me, Ralph and his girlfriend Kim were in the master bedroom doing one of our "ghost watchings" we heard heavy footsteps coming from the kitchen. Like work boots heavy. Now it must have been like 3 AM and that night our other friends; Andrew, Jelani, Kyle and Liz were all in bed. Jelani and Andrew were in the room next to ours (the guest room) where Kyle and Liz were way down in the basement/computer room sleeping on the couches down there.

Before I continue here's an idea of the layout with no drawing (I may draw one up later when I have more time)
There 4 levels to the house. the upper rooms which is only the main bathroom, two seperate bedrooms and a guest room with 2 beds in it.
2nd level is the ground floor. This has the entryway, siting room which is next to the entry-way. Kitchen which is across from the entry way, dining room which is next to the kitchen. Then the living room with a second smaller dining set all in the same room.
3rd level is a sorta semi basement. Part of it is underground where some is not. There is the study, laundry room (which has a second bathroom) and garage.
4th level is complete basement where the computer room, spare fridges with frozen goods are, wine cooler, and heater room and other odds and ends.

Back to the story; me, Ralph and Kim were on the top level and we could hear heavy footsteps coming from the kitchen and the hallway next to our room. Now these were NOT the kind of foot steps one of friends made. We even checked and the others were in their rooms. We have no clue to what it was but we suspect it was the spirit of a worker roamign through the house.

I hope you enjoyed that one. I have more. One of which may just scare you.

About three years ago, I was attending an intro-level drawing studio class for my Art concentration in college.

The class took place at about 8:00 in the morning. It was held in one of the older buildings on campus that had been renovated to accommodate for an elevator and art students constant usage of the building. My class took place on the 1st floor (ground level) of the building.

If you looked through the building, you could see, from the front, all the way to the back (it had an enclosed porch). Through the heart of the building is a hallway, that leads to either end of the first floor. On each end of the hallway, there are three rooms. Two supply closets and a classroom. There are two floors to the building, and both floors are like this.

The supply closets have no windows. Only the classrooms do, and the windows are sealed shut to prevent people from breaking and entering.

Anyway.....It was 8:00 in the morning, and I was waiting for the professor to unlock the building so we could get inside. Standing so I could see inside of the building, I saw a man walk from one end of the hallway to the other end. About 10 minutes later, the professor arrived and let us in. Mind you, I had been paying attention to this figure the entire time....he was nowhere to be found inside the building.

I dug around for some information on the building's history. Apparently it's known to be haunted by one of the college's original professors, checking up on his student's work.

Creepy noises, seeing the shape of three men in my window seeming obviously non human... things being moved, flimmering lights, cats responding to the presense of something, the feel of somebody watching you as you are falling asleep... the constant energydrain headaches if I stay in 2nd story for too long... those are short ways to summarize it...

I don't know if what I saw was real or if I was just really sleepy but here goes.

Like I said in a previous thread, I live in a really old and creepy place. My room opens directly into the hallway and on that night I had my door open. As a result I had a clear view of the hall.

One night I woke up in the middle of the night. I opened my eyes and I saw a young woman in fancy Victorian dress walking slowly down the hallway. A little Scottish terrier was following her. They both seemed ethereal and the moonlight passed right through them. I was so scared that I closed my eyes. When I opened them again they were gone. The funny thing is that her style of dress fit the time the building was built in.
